Welcome to the Women in Aviation

Spirit of Columbus Chapter

Women in Aviation International is the fastest growing aviation organization dedicated to encouraging young people to consider aviation careers as well as providing networking opportunities for women and men throughout the aviation industry.

Our members represent the broad scope of aviation - general, corporate, commercial and military. WAI members include aeronautical engineers, pilots, flight instructors, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, avionics technicians, airport managers, business owners, dispatchers, artists, students, flight attendants and enthusiasts.

Spirit of Columbus chapter meets on the first Tuesday of each month to socialize, network, and discuss & plan our activities.  Our Chapter is open to any and all who support women in aviation.

We plan to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Jerrie Mock's return to Port Columbus on the final leg of her record breaking solo flight around the world!

Join us Thursday evening, April 17, 2014 at 8:30pm.  At 9:35pm Martha Lunken will fly her Cessna 180 in a recreation of Jerrie's arrival 50 years before.  Martha will then address the gathering and we will all toast Jerrie's accomplishment.

We are always looking for new members. Give us a call anytime.
